SYNOPSIS:
Two young gentlemen living in 1890's England use the same pseudonym ("Earnest") on the sly, which is fine until they both fall in love with women using that name, which leads to a comedy of mistaken identities.

TRIVIA:
• The business with "Earnest's" bill at the Savoy and Grisby (Charles Kay's character) coming to Jack's country home is taken from a scene cut from the play prior to its publication.
